DVD
One can only imagine how many DVDs all the writers at Pop Critics have altogether. I’m sure it’s in the 1,000s. We watch DVDs a lot.
The Junction Boys
A look back to 1954 where we see the glory and the hard work of one America’s greatest football teams.
The best of both worlds
Will there be a sequel to Hannah Montana: The Movie? Miley Cyrus makes a great movie, while trying to make the biggest decision of her life.
Stuff I bought this week
There is a new series on Pop Critics in which I will share what things I’ve purchased throughout the week to fix my entertainment addiction.
What you should be watching on DVD this week
The Dark Knight is arguably one of the greatest superhero movies of all time, and it just came out on DVD. This is one movie you should definitely pick up.
Dan In Real Life: Nice and Sweet
Dan is a successful parenting advice columnist. This movie is the tale of his real life.
What to Rent: New DVD Releases for 09/16/08
I missed last week’s DVD releases, which seems to happen on occasion. My apologies for the oversight, but I’m sure you all got on just fine without me. If you rented The Forbidden Kingdom or Baby Mama, you probably did okay.
This week we have a few movies and some television shows new to DVD.
What To Rent: New DVD releases for 9/2/08
I almost missed doing my weekly DVD picks because of the beautiful holiday we just had throwing me off a day. But here they are and it’s actually a great week for television, which appears to be the norm as of late. Am I the only one noticing the trend lately of better stuff coming out for television than movies?
More than likely it’s just the time of the year, as last season’s stuff arrives just in time for you to frantically catch up with your favorite shows.
It’s Done: Mike Joins the Blu-Ray Ranks
After much begging from my wife (who honestly was sick of me talking about it), I finally laid down some bucks and purchased a Playstation 3 yesterday.
Firefly on Blu-Ray, here I come!
I’m totally pumped about this. September will give us Iron Man and Transformers releasing on Blu-Ray and this acquisition is just in the nick of time.
What to Rent: New DVD Releases for 8/26/08
This week is packed with TV shows and some interesting Blu-Ray releases, along with a few movies that wont be on my rent list, but could make yours.
There are 23 total titles new to Blu-Ray this week, but only about half of them are worth a gander.
The only downside to all these television DVDs this week is that you barely have enough time to catch up before the next season begins. I really wish these TV studios would try to get these things out months in advance, so people have plenty of time to get in every episode before the fall.
